I love the sea. Just to sit within airkissing distance of the sea in Bandras new Corniche is a treat. The very white furniture and decor and fact that its the only restaurant on the Bandra seafront with a liquor licence immediately sets it apart. I catch up with my long time friend Ashlesha Shirodkar and Gunjan Gupta here. Chef Amit Chaudhary (ex Olive) serves up pizzas, pastas, risottos, Thai curry and shawarma too. Surprisingly the Burmese kaukswe, served with the perfect crunchy and tangy accompaniments came up tops. Flavorsome. Filling and well priced (Rs 395). While the spaghetti was overcooked, the stuffed chicken with pesto cream and olive mash was well made but not the greatest. Ditto for the Thai curry and thin crust pizza. Plenty of choice of seafood, Tamarind glazed basa; chilli garlic prawns with wasabi and more. Plenty for vegetarians (okayish vegetarian platter spinach corn roesti, hummus et al) We ended with the luscious though oversweet gooey chocolate. Go for a cup of coffee (great choice) or a drink. Its open through the day, go feast on the view.

Take dhoklas, salads, farsaan, daal baati, chaas, ghee laden rotis, rice, daal, divine khichdi, 3 types of veggies, 3 types of mithais and keep lading them on and on and on a thaali in front of an eater till he bursts! thats what happens here..food is so rocking that even after the stomach is full, one can hardly stop eating!

When I'm in Mumbai I go to Corniche! I love the open space seaside ambience. Great food n desserts. I entertain my clients and partners here specially since they have a nice bar! The music is superb! The service is prompt and the valet service is a big plus for a prime spot like Corniche
