Get into the spirit(ual) with “Veda”? How about some Indian-inspired flavours under “Vedanta”? Chatka Mary (liquid vodka and spiced guava with chilli) or Mumbai Lassie with a scotch and cumin twist? Delivering a heady experience at the Palladium, Phoenix Mall, is Rohit Bal, (hailed as ”master of fabric and fantasy” by Time magazine). He has created the interiors which bear his flamboyant signature: long bar, draped in gold leaves, dark, black tones of magenta and dramatic gold flourishes everywhere. Pink and black chandeliers gleam. There's a mirror-walled private dining room for the celebs too. Check out the mocktails under ”Unzipped”, classic cocktails under ”Pure Culture”. “Significance of Vedas” lists on refreshing combinations of tropical passion and other fruit with rum and vodka. Martinis in various fruity flavours - Appletini, Melontini, Italian Peachitini and even Espressotini comprise the ”Essences of Vedas”. Veda offers premium liqour, Ed Hardy Vodka and Dom Perignon as well as fine wines and single malts. Kick back with Blues Brothers (peachy blue rum chased by iced orange juice). Flavoured vodka shots, Red Devil, spiced and iced vodka with a bite and many more. ”Sutras” like Rita in Paradise (tequila, litchi and strawberry), Dead Woman Walking (a very blue Rita) and Acapulco Gold (tequila, peach, apricot and mint) aim to seduce. The very Indian Mughlai menu serves up Crispy Spinach Chaat and the famous Veda Rahra (Lamb special) and more.
