From Indo-Chinese fusion à la the popular Schezwan Dosa, Idli Chilli Fry and Chinese Bhel at their Matunga fast-food eatery to a Chinese-Mangalorean menu makeover at Wok Hei, a tiny, crammed eatery next to High Street Phoenix in Lower Parel, Durga Parmeshwari offers invigorating surprises. Moist yet firm Chicken Momos are as well-prepared as the Steamed Pomfret, Jumbo Prawns, Lamb Momo, Thai Green Curry, Thai Bamboo Rice, Chilli Garlic Noodles, Bamboo Flat Noodles, Devil-cooked Chicken and BBQ Smoked Chicken. Priyanka Shroff, one of my sweet readers, raves about their Thai Pot Rice (Thai Curry's tasteless, though) and the consistent quality of dishes like Veg in Hunan Sauce - all tasty and tuned to the Indian palate. Vegetarians can go for Barbecue Paneer, Kung Pao Potatoes or Thai Chilli Crispy Potatoes. Robust fare and low price points keep Wok Hei's woks sizzling.

I was roaming around with my friend at Lower Parel, when we found this DP's Wok Hei restaurant. We went in as we wanted to sit and talk for sometime. Looking at the place, it was very simple and nothing special. We were not at all eager to have something but for sitting there we needed to, so had Chilli Garlic Noodles and BBQ Smoked Chicken. The food was really nice and mouthwatering. Waiters were prompt and quick. Planning to pay a visit again at DP's Wok Hei to have more food and spend more time.
