Brilliant design. As the book goes to press, the dramatic bar undergoes a few changes that makes it far more accessible and comfortable. A dramatically lit, high-ceilinged, wooden field of energy. Triangular and trapezoid panels of polished teak wood form jagged planes and embrace a 40ft vaulted interior designed to mirror the trees outside. Set amidst a lush canopy of 100-year old rain trees, with a stunning backdrop of historic buildings and the green of the Mahalaxmi Racecourse, Malini and Rahul AkerkarTote bar is a must visit. The bartenders work magic while an older crowd parties. Munch on the complimentary Soya Sticks, check out the Tote Mary and Green Apple Martini. Even the house liquors (Tote Cream) are well priced at Rs. 180. A great wine list and bar menu here. Well-made and innovative starters (Dal Gosht and Brun Pao, almost a full meal). It usually picks up late at night and mainly on weekends. Cutting-edge sound created by Submerge, India's largest electronic music collective and online resource. Various genres of music rock the beat with Balearic sounds of Ibiza to Afro-Latino percussive beats, from electronica of Paris and Berlin's bars to the soulful, disco and jazz-tinged house sounds of bars in London and New York.

The place has a decent decor, but is small for the number of people. The seating area is cramped for space. As for the music, the DJ there (May-June 2010) is not that good. His choice of hip-hop on a Saturday night is Nelly-Kelly, Dilemma Nelly: Hot in H

It was the worst dining experience I have ever had, and also the most overpriced.They didn?t have half of the items on their menu, and by the way the menu didn?t have that many items to choose from in the first place.

This place is totally over hyped. The bar is ok. Did not find anything so impressive about it. Haven't eaten there so can't comment on the food. Overall, would enjoy the experience much more if it wasn't for the long wait and the fact that it gets overcrowded inside.
