Perched at the edge of the Mahalaxmi Racecourse, this large, high-ceilinged restaurant, with the feel of an English tavern, still retains its charm. Huge windows overlook the lush Mahalaxmi racecourse lawns, imparting the tranquillity of the countryside and old-world charm in the very heart of bustling Mumbai. Indian kebabs are a must try. Ask for the succulent Chicken Kali Mirch Kebab, flavoursome Chicken Aalishan (boneless chicken cooked with processed cheese, spices, yogurt). Tandoori dishes like the Chicken Pahadi Kebab (marinated in green masala); and the cashewnut-rich Chicken Reshmi are must trys. As is the delicate Fish with Lemon Leaves; and the fiery Koliwada Fried Fish and Tamarind Fish. European/Global (including their popular Polo Vatican stuffed with ham and cheese and Chicken a la Kiev, Chicken Burgundy) are robustly flavoured with cheesy sauces. Keema Pao is surprisingly good too! Skip the soups and the Goan Curry. The bar offers imported liquor and wine. Go for the relaxing, soothing and airy ambience. P.S.
