If you love seafood, please visit Francis Fernandes's small home-style North Karnatakan coastal, retro (1980s touches inside) eatery tucked away in the bylanes of Mahim (takes a while to find), full of heart and soul, bustling and popular as ever. You'd better make a reservation in advance just to be safe. Traditional ingredients are used in all Mangalorean-Karwari dishes here - Tepal (triphal), Dry Bimbla Sol and Karwar Coconuts. Taste the magic of Francis's mother's old recipes at Fresh Catch. Ambotic and Rossa Curries, Crab Xec Xec, tangy Amchi Tumchi Sungta Amti (prawns in tamarind and chilli gravy), Bombil Fry and Crabs (a whole for Rs. 400 or less) are labours of love. There is Paneer and Spinach for the vegetarians, and Chocolate Mousse and Litchi with Vanilla Ice Cream for dessert. Free delivery for Mahim area residents. P.S. Francis, if you're reading this - we still miss the mussels.

Fresh Catch is a small 8 tables diner divided into an upstairs & downstairs area.
This small home-style restaurant's walls surprise you with pictures of Francis Fernandes's pictures with the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and many other celebs.
A lovely textured, pink Solkadi will fill your mouth with different tastes at once.
You can imagine a Bombil- hater's utter despair when Mr. Fernandes insisted that I try their Bombil-Fry. After a lot of hesitation, he convinced me to risk it. It was Amazingly yummm... To date, I make it a point I have Bombil-fry every time I go to Fresh Catch.
I'm an avid fan of Crabs in every recipe. And had not found a place that make crabs as amazing as they're made in Goa. Fresh Catch is my end to the search. I simply find the Crab in Butter- Garlic sauce and the Crab cakes here heavenly!!!

I just love seafood, prwans, fish and everything and i can say that Fresh Catch serve it really fresh. I had not tasted such fresh and awesome seafood before and even their service is great. Decor is alright.
