Art buffs may correctly identify this five-year-old Malad restaurant’s name as a 16th-century painting — a reminder to visitors that cooking is an art form too! Chef Vijayraj Chauhan serves up his trademark fusion fare. Right from Spanish tile flooring to old Burma teak wood roof to the brass chandelier and brass lamps, to the carefully chosen crockery it has the right ambience. It has been winning over regulars one dish at a time from a repertoire of new-world fare in Italian and Indian cuisines (pizzas are baked in an authentic Italian wood-fired oven). The restaurant’s trademark is fusion fare that reaches interesting dimensions with Chicken Tikka Thai Curry with Lemon Rice and Tandoori Paneer Pizza. Starters range from Cream of Morel and Wild Mushroom Soup to Paneer Moti Seekh. Lasagne, shawarmas and pizzas (Tandoori Paneer, chicken and more) constitute the main course. The Grilled Sea Bass (served with Bell Pepper Sauce with polenta) and the Vegetarian Biryani are hot sellers. Their specialties include pizza, Chicken Biryani and Mutton Biryani. Unexpected tasty finds on the menu include Meen Moilee with lemon rice. The dessert repertoire includes mousse to Prune Pies

Laughing Cavalier has an awesome décor, amazing service and excellent food. Chicken Tikka Thai Curry with lemon rice is just awesome to have. You will certainly love the Tandoori Paneer Pizza, served here. Try Paneer Moti Seekh, Lasagne and shawarmas, you won’t go anywhere else. Laughing Cavalier cooks and serves the food with love.
