The secret to Panchvati Gaurav's success is swift service and tasty thalis! Buzzing like a busy bee hive (as is typical of Gujarati Thali eateries), watch the many little bowls in your plate fill up within minutes of your being seated; four subzis, two farsaans, two sweets, dal, Masala Rice, Khichdi, Bhakri, Dhokla, roti, puri, curd, rice and Dahi Curry scurry past your table, their aromas tease your nose as the servers deftly ladle them into your plate. My favourite is the Dal Bati (available in the evenings) and Chhaas. At the flagship Bombay Hospital location, guests are welcomed with a complimentary glass of Jal Jeera too. You can ask for thalis with less chilli and less sweetened food; there's also a Kid's Special Thali with child friendly versions of the adult choices. Weekday pricing is Rs. 240, while Sat-Sun is Rs. 310 (extra: Undhiyu, three mithais and pulao) for the dine-in. Parcel services are more competitively priced as quantities are naturally limited (small parcel: Rs. 75, medium parcel: Rs. 200, full parcel: Rs. 320, and Family Parcel: Rs. 640, serves four).
