Mumbai's love affair with shudh Italian vegetarian continues at Little Italy. Twenty-six outlets across 17 major cities all over India, six in Mumbai alone (all with the same menu). The cheery Juhu branch with its black wrought iron grills, mosaic tiled floor and well-lit glass ceiling is warm and inviting. The Chef's Home-made Pastaal (dente Ravioli,Pasta with Gorgonzola Cheese and Gnocchi) is super. Many varieties of thin-crust pizzas (Spicy Tabasco Pizza all the way!). Recommended dishes: Fungi Trifolati, Crostionis,Minestrone Soup, Crème a Di Fungi, Chocolate Bomb and the Sizzling Brownie. The service has improved. Little Italy has a veggie Mexican menu too! Generous portions of Enchiladas and Nachos appeal to the Indian palate. As does the robustly spiced Italian fare. The Andheri branch has a twin-level, irregularly shaped space but is equally engaging. P.S. Good news! Little Italy now offers Lunch Buffets (Mon-Sat:Rs350, Children under five:Rs250; Sunday:Rs450, Children under five:Rs350).
