Swift service and tasty thali fare are the secrets of Panchavati Gaurav’s popularity - they’ve opened a fifth branch this year at Malad’s Infinity 2 Mall to keep up with demand. Take a seat and watch your big stainless steel thali (mineral water included) fill up like a film in fast-forward mode. At the flagship Bombay Hospital location, they welcome guests with a complimentary glass of Jal Jeera too. The Gujarati Thali includes four subzis, two sweets, Dal, Masala Rice, Khichdi, Bhakri, Dhokla, roti, puri, curd, rice, curry and two farsaans. My favourite is the Dal Bati (available in the evenings). And Chhaas. You can ask for thalis with less chilli and less sweet and there’s even a Kid’s Special Thali. You can opt for the ”Family Parcel” that is meant for four people (Rs. 620).
