As this book goes to press, we are informed that Ruby Tuesday (part of the casual, American dining chain specializing in ”simple fresh American dining”) is all set to launch a Corporate Lunch Buffet at the Malad and Nariman Point locations. While we miss the VFM salad bar (vegetarians that had very limited options here to begin with may wish to skip this place altogether now), the good news is that Chocolate Tall Cake, Chicken Fresco Lemon Butter Sauce and the Bacardi Mojito are still on the menu. The décor is cheery with plenty of sports memorabilia adding colour and clutter, set off by the brightly coloured Tiffany lamps. Both outlets are in malls and serve burgers, pastas, soups and platters. Management recommends their Ribs, Fish New Orleans and New York Cheesecake. Generous portions but somewhat tasteless and overcooked fare here: the Chicken Burger is a case in point. Besides, it is priced on the higher side. Beware if you visit the Malad branch - you may have a rat scampering around your feet underneath the table.

I celebrated my b’day at Ruby's Bar & Grill. It is a nice place with beautiful ambiance. The atmosphere is quite cheerful and jolly with sporty and funky décor. We had Chicken Fresco Lemon Butter Sauce, the Bacardi Mojito, Ribs and Fish New Orleans. The food was good as well. Everything was well-cooked and delicious. Presentation was great as well. Last was Chocolate Tall Cake, which was sinful. It was amazing and I think best of all.
