A dedicated fragrant lift whooshes you up into this sprawling, high-ceilinged, wood-and-marbled, elegant first floor Nariman Point restaurant. Three hundred Chinese and Thai dishes on the menu — the spark of nimbu, the bite of mirchi and the freshness of tulsi enliven the Thai fare (especially the full-bodied Beef Salad). Pork 'n' Ginger Clear Soup, refreshing Pomello and Green Apple with Raw Mango Salads (new) and Stuffed Black Mushroom. They've added lobster, crab and seabass options to the menu. Order the Prawns in Burnt Chilli Sauce (new) or Chicken with Holy Basil. Vegetarians have plenty of options too. However, some dishes lack flavour, like the Thai Raw Papaya Salad. The desserts are just about okay. Go for the Dim Sum Lunch, when daylight bathes the handsome restaurant. Unlimited Dim Sum Lunch on Friday and Saturday afternoons (Rs. 803), or set Dum Sum Meals on weekdays that consist of two pieces of each dim sum accompanied with noodles or soup and ice cream (4 kinds of dim sum for Rs. 595 and 6 for Rs. 695). Garlic Chive Prawn, the Tenderloin Chung Fun and Chicken Sui Mai are good. Dinner here is strictly à la carte. P.S. Check out their weekday (Mon-Thurs) Buffet Lunch comprising of fruit salad, soups, starters, mains and desserts (no dim sum). On Sundays, laze around and leisurely make your way through to their Sunday Brunch (Rs. 1,200 without and Rs. 1,700 with alcohol). rn

Being a foodie that I am I try to get the best offers and I really fell for the buffets here. It's actually very impressive. Prawns with garlic is my all time favorite, and salad are good too. Service can be fast though.

I recently happened to be in Colaba. I love Chinese food so thought will visit Vongwong after hearing about it from some friends of mine.
It is indeed a lovely place, specially if you love Thai/ Chinese food. We tried our hands on Sea Bass in banana leaf and the Black Cod. Even though the price was on a steeper side, it was worth every penny that I spent.
I would surely visit this place again. I was full, yet craved for more.. Would want to visit again and try some more dishes which i couldn't this time..
Thanks vongwong..
