A dedicated fragrant lift whooshes you up into this sprawling, high-ceilinged, wood-and-marbled, elegant first-floor Nariman Point restaurant. Three hundred Chinese and Thai dishes sit pretty on the menu. Go for Set Meal lunches at Vongwong (weekdays: `857). Go for the Dim Sum Lunch, when daylight bathes the handsome restaurant. Garlic Chive Prawn, the Tenderloin Chung Fun and Chicken Sui Mai are all worth trying. The spark of nimbu, the bite of mirchi and the freshness of tulsi enliven the Thai fare (especially the full-bodied Beef Salad). Refreshing Pomello and Green Apple with Raw Mango Salads and Stuffed Black Mushroom is good. Order the Prawns in Burnt Chilli Sauce or Chicken with Holy Basil. Vegetarians have plenty of options too (Tofu Hor Mok, a Thai fusion Sushi Roll with Asparagus, Tofu and Spices, Spinach Dumplings, Veg Crispy Taro and more). However, some dishes lack flavour, like the Thai Raw Papaya Salad. The desserts are just about okay.

Note: Sunday Brunch of `1,400+taxes with unlimited mocktails, `1,800+taxes with domestic liquor and `2,500+ taxes with imported drinks.

I am a vegetarian and have always been a little unhappy when it came to Chinese/ Thai food. This time my husband took me out for dinner and it was truely an experience. With everything just perfect for my first wedding anniversary. I would surely want to go back again there with my friends and other family members.Indeed a Picture Perfect Date!!

Being a foodie that I am I try to get the best offers and I really fell for the buffets here. Its actually very impressive. Prawns with garlic is my all time favorite, and salad are good too. Service can be fast though.

I recently happened to be in Colaba. I love Chinese food so thought will visit Vongwong after hearing about it from some friends of mine. It is indeed a lovely place, specially if you love Thai/ Chinese food. We tried our hands on Sea Bass in banana leaf and the Black Cod. Even though the price was on a steeper side, it was worth every penny that I spent. I would surely visit this place again. I was full, yet craved for more.. Would want to visit again and try some more dishes which i couldnt this time..Thanks vongwong..

I went along with my friends to this restaurant. It was a pretty decent place. Their thai cuisine was delicious and i personally liked Pork 'n' Ginger Clear Soup, Thai Spicy Fruit Salad, Stuffed Black Mushroom here. Go for Chicken with Holy Basil. Even vegetarians have plenty of choice too.
