One of the very few places in the city where a live band performs, sits at the heart of Nariman Point’s brand new “Amadeus”. The beautiful and funky acoustically treated ceiling with digital prints of swirling flamenco dancers, Dali inspired bar top (of pressed glass bottles) and bar stools and tables (sculpted by the famous Arzan Khambatta) set the mood. Live bands on every Wednesday and Fridays. House DJ and Guest DJ on most nights. An array of tapas and small plates to eat while you drink sangria and cocktails (Earl Grey Martini and Hibiscus Bellini recommended). A great and affordable wine list of Spanish, Chilean, Argentinean, World wines with traditional high-end wines and bubblies from France. A great selection of single malts, whiskies and vodkas too. To top it all, Dom Perignon has a special bottle label printed for Amadeus.rnP.S. Ask for “The Wine Flight”... a wine tasting which changes daily as per the sommelier’s choice. The Flamenco Lounge is given out for private parties from Monday to Thursday and for musical Sunday brunches too.

Based inside the NCPA, makes it an extremely charming place. The cafe outside is beautiful. I loved the Spanish veggie Paella's. There are several options to choose from but I particularly liked the ones with the asparagus and mushrooms...

Being a townie we welcomed with open arms the opening of Farrokh Khambatas Amadeus at the NCPA in dead South Mumbai. In winter the the Sea facing Alfresco dining takes you out if Mumbai and into another world and the Spectacular interioirs take you to My favorite City NY. They serve Spanish and levantine cuisine(whatever that means) but the food is the star of the show here. With loads of Tapas and Pitchers of Super Sangria we gorge ourselfs on some out of this world Piqullio peppers ( effing awsum)and wood fired COCAS - thats what they call em. The pork belly beat the one at Hakkassan anytime ( at half the price). The mains have some great meats and my g riend who was veggie also had some delicious mushroom dish with thin Filo pastry. The service can be on the slower side- Cant blame them as it is virtually impossible to get a table on weekends and in the week the place is always full .The Alfresco dining is a pleasure in dirty Mumbai and the desserts were to die for. Also the Bar rocks on weekends with a Pretty all firang girls bands on fridays we rocked to Aaron James the Pitbull Dj on xmas night
