Polished Burma Teak rafters, parquet flooring and festive lanterns complete the setting for a relaxed meal. Exquisite hand-painted crockery and crystal give the restaurant an air of muted elegance as well. The downside is that you have to walk through the Indian Kebabs & Kurries restaurant, past open kitchens to get here. You can look forward to a well-made, above-average Chinese meal here. Once here, at the Shanghai Club, you can relax and enjoy Chef Jiayu Yang's Shanghai Chinese fare. Do ask for the spicy numb prawns (Mala da Xia), which does numb your palate for a few seconds, thanks to the Schezwan pepper and red chillies. Start with the light and refreshing Spicy Soup with Water Chestnuts. Even the French Beans enlivened with Dried Chillies and the brand new Fulling Chicken are superb. As is the Steamed Basa in Guizho Sauce. His Chinese version of the Lobster Thermidor, Sauteed Lobster with Cheese 'n' Butter and Macau-style Aomen Zhishi ju Longxia are delightful introductions which have their fans (count me out). Chef Yang uses authentic ingredients and deftly turns out a superb Steamed Basa with Black Bean Hong Kong-style Sauce, a Cumin Lamb Xinjiang-style, Baby Corn, Water Chestnuts and more. Go for the VFM Yumcha for Rs.1,195 (plus taxes) - choose two from a variety of dim sums (Sui Mai, dumplings, buns) along with a choice of rice or noodles and a soup and dessert too. It's a nice, light-eat option. End your superlative Chinese meal with Fruit Toffee - fruits are first caramelized with sugar and then served with ice cream.

Wow! this was an awesome experience....i had off on saturday evening so decided to catch up with my girlfriend here....We had never been here before, but heard a lot about the place by friends. When we pulled in the lot about 8 pm, it was quite empty but as the time passes till arnd 9 it was all packed. it was cozy and tranquil place with comfortable seating area...as we got settled, a nice young man in a proper dress came to us and offered the menu...politely served the water and took the order....great service i would say.....we had many things and all was just wow....perfectly cooked and served.....we had a nice time and perfect date here....
