Bandra's popular Out of the Blue is now giving Powai residents a reason to celebrate. Spa massages at a restaurant with a Spa lunch sound a bit "Out of the Blue"? They've even got special gifts for their Spa Lunch guests. It's a space that offers connection with the surrounding community with events like art exhibitions, appointments with famous astrologers, bling and fashion bazaars, live music, makeovers by well-known brands, alcohol promotions and more (www.outoftheblue.in and facebook for updates). Indoor and outdoor seating are available at both locations, with pebbled walkways and air-conditioned comfort inside too. Barbeque Coriander Pesto Cottage Cheese is one of their unique innovations. They also have decent fondues (cracked pepper, pizza and even a desi version), tasty and creative sizzlers (gourmet or create your own) and pastas (Penne Masala Mafia). Check out the German Pork with Sage and Garlic. There are great shudh veggie options (even the Pepper Sauce here is made from veg stock) like Tofu with Charmulla, Veg Millet and Mango Yoghurt (all featured on their spa lunch menu). Desserts here - Strawberry Flan, Mars Heaven and more - are incredibly indulgent and sinful must-tries. On Mondays and Thursdays at dinner and on Saturdays and Sundays at lunch, a guitarist serenades.
