Once upon a time, there was a mango tree in Vile Parle that inspired a restaurant of the same name (Mangi Ferra). One of the first in town to serve wood-fired pizzas (a must-have here; try any of the popular picks - Margarita, Quattro Formaggio, Mediterranean or Cajun Chicken). Mangi's tribe has been steadily increasing. Bandra saw the introduction of the above average Cafe Mangii fare which quickly expanded to Powai last year and this year, a brand new Versova location opens as this book goes to press, with Pune slated to open soon. Earthen tones and warm-wooden interiors gives this cafe a neighbourhood "been aound a long time" kind of feel. Home-style flavour in all of the popular soups, salads and pastas. Fun options too - like the newly introduced fondues, available in Jalapeno Cheese for mains and Chocolate for desserts. A veritable pasta party here with Spaghetti, Linguine, Penne and Fusilli all on the menu. Order their Risotto (cooked in Champagne and with Asparagus and Porcini Mushoom) and Chicken Mangii, the stuffed chicken breast. Creme Brulee and Tiramisu offer a sweet ending.

We have visited this place several times as my kiids love the food here.we are vegetarians and so our options here are fewer than those for non-vegetarians. Love the fondues they serve here. Soups are just about ok. Excellent pizzas though their main course is not really upto the mark.
Favorite Dishes / Drinks: the bell pepper fondue esp and the Quattro formaggio pizza
