Two of the four locations have shut, but Papa John's is still serving Kandivali and Powai residents with gusto. As this book goes to press, they're planning to open a third location in Malad's Infinity 2 Mall. Please don't expect the US quality of ”better ingredients, better pizza”. Still, the Indian version does have its fans - they've got a national presence with stores in Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Pune and Mumbai (3,000 franchise outlets worldwide). Perhaps the new flavours will be promising: Say Cheese, Onion Blossom (yes it's a pizza), Rainbow Veggie, Sweet Heat, Garden, Non-veg chaat, Mexican and Chicken/Veggie BBQ. Two unique menu items are a Ranch pizza and the Super Papa's. The Chicken Pizza I had was thick with flour. Side orders may be better - Garlic Parmesan Breadsticks, Chicken Wings, Grilled Chicken Salads, Potato Wedges and (new) pastas. Finish with Lava Cake for dessert. Ask about birthday arrangements for children's parties.
