For a true-blue taste of Koliwada fish at its most piping hot, take a drive to the Punjabi Colony. Take bonnet service for your Fish Fry (rawas or pamfret) or Prawns Fry and enjoy them hot and spicy with onions and a dash of nimbu! While fish and chicken marinate in red Tandoori masala, and tandoors and grills smoke, the heat can become unbearable. You feel as though you've walked into a klony (colony) in Punjab. Set up by a civil engineer from Peshawar fifty years ago, the eatery fills your platter with its Fish Fry, Prawns Fry, Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Potta. Not one of those eating joints where hygiene is an overriding consideration, food here is made in the open air, in somewhat ramshackle surroundings. You can also opt to sit in the cramped first-floor area and enjoy their ubiquitous Butter Chicken, Dal Makhni and Paneer Bhurji. P.S. I'd opt for the kebabs any day and avoid the Chicken Cheese Kebab, Corn 'n' Bell Pepper Kebab and the like. Also skip new Chinese companions - Blackbean Soup, Paneer Hot Basil and Chicken Prawn Soup.

Mini Punjab serves the most delicious Koliwada fish. You won’t get great ambiance for eating, but you will get finger licking food. You can have hot and spicy Fish Fry, Prawns Fry, Tandoori masala or Tandoori Chicken. Don’t expect much from décor, you will find food good and service average. If you are a fish lover try Koliwada fish at Mini Punjab.
