High energy here in this open-till-late, rocking three-year-old sprawling, swish bar. Located in the Grand Hyatt hotel (near the domestic airport), China House is a clear sign that the centre of action has moved northwards. The young and the not-so-young seem to have found their comfy spaces. The older lot sink into plush, oversized sofas and armchairs, while the long-legged, short-skirted young things teeter on their heels around the centre, which is an island LED-lit bar. State-of-the-art sound systems and a mix of music keep the energy pumping. It continues to pump along with the beat of the music and the heady drinks. Even when you are sober, the sight of the levitating glass shelves and bottles and wacky glassware of the island bar puts you in the mood. Needless to add that once those signature cocktails (try the superb China House Mojito with pomegranate and the Green Apple Martini) are downed, the suspended bar takes on a whole different look. Though the appetizers (from the authentic Chinese menu of the restaurant) are superb, the desserts disappoint. But the atmosphere, the music, and the drinks more than make up for it. China House pulsates with action. Expensive but worth the nightout. Cover charge on Wednesdays and Thursdays is Rs. 1,500 while on Fridays and Saturdays it is Rs. 2,500.rnP.S. Intimate lounging and conversation? Pre-dinner drinks or late-night cocktails? Retreat into "The I Decki", the private lounge on the mezzanine level. Minimally lit, it’s a relaxing zone.

My friend dragged me to China House Lounge and I am so glad that they did it. This place has awesome music collection and equally awesome music system which lets the music run through your veins. The Chinese appetizers along with a wide variety of cocktails and mocktails are the perfect ingredients for a lovely evening at China House Lounge.
