China House Lounge at this luxury hotel in Mumbai adds a unique paradigm to stylish Mumbai lounges. This multi-level lounge is the perfect setting for intimate lounging and conversations over pre-dinner drinks or late night cocktails. The main feature of the China House Lounge at the Grand Hyatt Mumbai is the centre, island-style LED light bar, with an array of bottles and unconventional glassware that appear suspended on large glass shelves overhead. Avant-garde interiors form a part of the single private room, while semi-private booths with plush oversized armchairs and open spaces add to the space as the music lingers in the air. The in-house signature beverages, from the classics to the unique post-dinner cocktails, enhance the feel of the lounge Mumbai even further. Located on the mezzanine level is “I deck”, the private area which is minimally lit and akin in décor to a private lounge. This relaxing retreat offers the perfect setting to linger after dinner over fine Single Malts, signature cocktails or celebrate an occasion with a few near and dear ones. Multi-faceted in spirit, the stylish China House Lounge area serves as a versatile retreat located within our 5-star luxury Mumbai hotel and the ideal place to party to the high energy music spun by the in-house DJ.

This is it. The restaurant for the finest traditional Peking Duck and Beggar’s Chicken in Mumbai. Authentic, robust and meaty flavours of China’s provinces of Beijing and Sichuan served here in five stunning interactive kitchens (helmed by expat Chef Yuzuo Han) and four private dining rooms which sprawl in this buzzing Grand Hyatt restaurant. Walk past the open-air pagodas and garden as you journey to your table past lacquered screens, trellises, a profusion of details, shimmering, glassed-off island kitchens and dramatically lit cabins. Deftly and fastidiously prepared by six speciality chefs from China, dish after dish preens on centre stage. As good as ever. This Times Food Guide award winner continues to serve masterpieces. Must try the inappropriately named but tender and moist Beggar’s Chicken, lovingly baked in a hard clay shell. Go for the Shanghai Soup Dumpling and, of course, the pièce de résistance, the crisp yet yielding Peking Duck. Elaborately served in courses, caramelly crispy skin, pancakes, soup, et al. The pungency of garlic hammers robustly. Be it Silken Tofu, hand-tossed Dan Dan Noodles or even some of the cold starters (Beijing’s speciality). Plenty of delectable vegetarian choices. Vegetarians do ask for the Veg Claypot, the Wok-fried Mushroom and Snow Fungus with Ginger and Garlic and the really spicy Schezwan Chilli Veg (with bean curd, lantern chillies and cashew nuts in seasonal oil). The China House Grand Dessert disappoints. The impeccable fare falters in its seafood dishes and desserts. This house continues to buzz with glamour and celebs.

Note: Ask for the three-course Set Lunch for `1,313.

Feel the buzz and nurse a drink at the wrap-around bar. Of course, that's if you can get to the bar counter to get your drink. The party at Olive has been on for years relentlessly and it is set to continue. Join in. For more details, please refer to the Times Mumbai Food Guide 2014. On weekends, the air is moist with air kisses and perfume. Sound levels are deliciously over the top, even standing room is at a premium. Sit outdoors or indoors and enjoy the high-ceilinged, very Mediterranean feel of the Pali Hill Olive or the rustic one at Race Course. On weekends, in the Pali Hill Olive, the buzz is so palpable that you could cut it... moreRashmi Uday SinghRashmi Uday Singh reviewed Enigma - The Lounge

In the local ads magazine (LWB) Bombay Palace offers an early bird special from 5.30 till 7 oclock. But read the small print too, please. You must bring the advertise with you. Otherwise a very rude waiter, who speaks so fast and doesnt even look at you in the eyes, will say you cant get the special at all and even if you go outside to get the advertise you willBe too late because is 6.45 now and if you come with the paper at 7 weWont take the other. Is just before 7 the special. What the hated the most was the lack of manners from the waiter, too busy looking at the main door, probably expecting for customers who wont know about the special and will pay full price. Thats notHow you talk to customers, specially localCustomers. The food isAll right, nothing special. The restaurant is little and very noisy. On top of the music, you have to deal with rude waiters yelling at each others in their own language... Better atmosphere and service can be found in otherIndian restaurantsIm town,

Tips: Offers free Wi-Fi

good hai yaar This was a great discovery! We went on a busy Saturday morning. It looked like it was going to be a long wait, but they said 15 minutes, and actually just 5 minutes later they seated us...which we really appreciated since we had two kids with us. The place feels like a locals favorite, not a touristy place. The staff was amazing, very quick, they worked together as a team and we felt very well taken care of. Food was GREAT. Lots of choices, it all felt really fresh. I had huevos rancheros, husband had mexican scramble, boys had pancakes and cinnmon bun french toast. great coffee and mimosa. Very budget friendly too. And close to park where you can walk off the calories.

Tips: Good place for couples
