Functional, canteen-like ambience in this Singaporean chain eatery. Set up over 3,500 sq ft in the Phoenix mall, the 135-seater eatery offers VFM veggie meals. It has self service and disposable plates. Breakfast and tea-time snacks include Pongal, Upma, Bondas and bhajiyas. Idlis, vadas, uttapams, dosas and more South Indian favourites are all here. Milagai Podi is a must-try. Komala's specials are Paper Dosai, Topi Dosai and Peseratta (green gram dal delicacy). there are a number of the usual South Indian restaurant suspects including Malabar Paratha served with Raita, Pao Bhaji, Puri Bhaji, Chana Bhatura and Chilli Paratha. Thali options here are great because they come from Mini to the Special and everything in between, all for less than Rs. 200. Try their Thair Sadam (curd rice) or rice of the day at lunch and dinner. Ask about their value meals. On Sundays and holidays, they serve special dishes like Idiyappams, Set Dosai, and Addai. Relish it all with bottomless batis of chutney and sambhar. Top it off with their dessert of the day - Sheera, Payasam and more. To quench your thirst, pop in any time for their Badam Milk, Filter Coffee or fresh juices.

This is a self service place and it requires effort to get your order. It is a typically south Indian place that specializes in Dosa. Dessert menu is also impressive and perfect for closing a casual lunch or dinner date.
