As good as ever. As packed as ever. This Times Food Guide award-winning, no-frills, home-style, vegetarian eatery is worth going to. Go outside lunch and dinner hours and you're likely to find a table. Never mind the long wait at mealtimes, however. Brave the noise levels inside the sleek, steel-table-and-bench furniture and gleaming, grey granite-floor eatery and go for a superb, pure-veg experience. It is here that Asha Jhaveri serves traditional veg dishes that you can't get anywhere else in the city, except inside homes. Asha not only keeps adding new dishes but also keeps a sharp watch on the quality. Nothing costs more than Rs. 150. My absolute favourite is the garlicky Panki (handkerchief-thin Rice Pancakes steamed in banana leaves for Rs. 100) served with scrumptious green chutney and fried green chillis. Everything (except the Veg Dhansak) is delicious — Satpadi Roti, Gatta nu Shak, Fada ni Khichdi, super Dal Dhokli, Panki-Suva and Pudina, Corn Bhel, Methi Dhokla, Cheese Batata Pancake and more. Take heart from the fact that the delicious Bhelpuri, Paani Puri and the like are all made from purified water. Hand-churned Fresh-fruit Ice Cream, golden-fried Jalebis and Papdi are served for Sunday breakfast.

Swati Snacks is a winner all the way with its pure veg food. For me this is the place that has Gatta nu Shak, Panki-Suva and Methi Dhokla. Nice food and good staff is the mantra this snacks heaven has adopted and is doing pretty well among the people of city who can be seen waiting for their orders.

This is an award winning veg food point and the food served here speaks for itself..The menu keeps on getting better and better with new dishes included every now and then..Dal Dhokli is prefect, Gatta nu Shak is also something that i like...in fact, everything is worth trying once... after all it has won Times Food Guide award...
