Sardar continues to go takatak and is as busy as ever, even though it's located right next to a public toilet! It's amazing to watch the fast-forward speed at which the Pao Bhaji is mass-produced and consumed. Don't expect anything besides a few juices and the Pao Bhaji. Please ignore the bhaji-splattered menu and the onion bits left behind on your tablecloth. The bravehearts pour in for a tantalizing plateful of delicious, spicy, Potato Bhaji, with a generous dollop of melting butter, and perfectly tawa-ed paos. The recipe is a closely-guarded family secret (and supposedly the first one in the city), but I'm told it's all in the special masala. One of the city's first and most well-known Pao Bhaji stalls, it's an extremely crowded, stall-like eatery on the Tardeo Junction. P.S. Surprisingly, this iconic institution is not run by Sardarjis.

Sardar Refreshment is my favorite spot for eating awesome Pao Bhaji in the city. The spicy bhaji and butter coated paos are simply mouth watering. Though Sardar Refreshment is not a lavish spot yet it is one of the busy eatery in the city.
