We can't figure out the connection between the food and the name (other than grasshoppers are green too) or the significance behind the grasshopper art that decorates this split-levelled, marble-floored eatery. What we do know is that the Indian, Gujarati and Punjabi vegetarian fare here has been consistently good. They've introduced diet food, pure Jain dishes and cater to all customers' needs. Vile Parle's pure-vegetarian bar and restaurant has been bustling for two decades now. Begin with the Kebab Platter, Hara Bhara Kebab, Gobhi Tikka or Paneer Crispy and then continue with Veg Balti, Veg Chilli Milli and Veg Schezwan. Methi Matar Malai, Paneer Pasanda and Reshmi Paratha are good too. They also have a good selection of liquor worth checking out. Rumour has it, this is where Anil Ambani brought Tina Munim when they were courting. P.S. Have your next party at Grasshopper — call and ask for set menu and seating arrangements.rn
