Ever since this Worli restaurant opened quietly last year, it has been making waves. Pleasant service, a well stocked bar, plenty of choice for vegetarians, well-made high quality ingredients (with prices to match) and (at night) music that gets too loud for conversation. A smart, sassy and handsome space offset by unfinished black marble tables, this three-levelled restaurant's Italian European fare with a global sensibility has been in demand. A glassed-in show kitchen stands prominently at the entrance and overlooks the alfresco terrace with its white umbrellas. As the book goes to press, I am informed that Chef Mikhael Shahani has taken over from Chef Alex Bignotti. However, over the past year, I have been tasting his cooking too. Though the menus keep changing, the woodfired Baked Camembert continues to be a hot favourite. Enjoy the exceptional quality of the Seared Tuna paired with Avocado Tapenade and enlivened with Kaffir Lime and Galangal. Straight from the gut, well-made homestyle, thin-crust pizzas (Pepperoni, Rucola Prosciutto and Parmesan Cheese) and well-made Saffron Risotto too. Steak lovers make a beeline for the T-bone Steak, Porcini Sauce on the side, cooked sous vide and then grilled. The Ravioli Spinach Ricotta disappoints as it is overdone. Warm Chocolate Fondant with oozing, gooey chocolate as well as the trilogy of Panacotta (done three ways) are a perfect balance of texture and taste.

Few days back I and one of friend decided to go for bar hunting to find out what is new in town. We came across this place and I personally liked the feel and overall experience in this bar. The bar stock has anything and everything that one can look for and interestingly the food menu also has quite a number of dishes to drool on. Both of us had some European non veg as well as veg dishes with some hard drink that we both loved and the background music sets the mood for party.

Had been at Two One Two Bar And Grill, last New Year’s Eve. I simply loved the ambiance and food. Though the place is quite expensive, but food is really nice. I had Italian cuisine there and really it was awesome. I also liked the crowd on the day. Looking forward to visit Two One Two Bar And Grill again soon.
