My first trip to this place and I must say that I came away mighty impressed :D The food is good and stands out from the deluge of similar tasting food that you get in many restaurants across the city. Service is a tad slow but I guess that gave us more time to chat so Im not really complaining about that, the waiters however do know what to recommend and I would like to personally recommend the Vegetarian Pasta with Eggplant extremely nice. A do over in the ambiance department might help but it might even take away the charm of the place so I'm in two minds. All in all a great place I'm glad I finally visited and this time my wallet came away smiling too, will definitely visit again.
Was a little skeptical going into Mangiamo after reading mixed reviews but I must say my experience was a pleasant one. We went at a time when the restaurant was just beginning preparations for its evening service, this however had no impact on their service or ruffled their feathers in any way. In terms of the ambiance the place scores with nice wooden tables, polite waiters and a subtle classy color scheme running throughout. The food however was okay, palatable and tasty but nothing I would rave about. The free breads they gave however were a delight and I really enjoyed them. The damage to the wallet is high so be prepared to pay a pretty penny. All in all a pleasant evening somewhere I would like to go if I was in the vicinity but not something I would travel for.
The food here is really good... I have been here multiple time to all its branches infect but the one thing which has stopped me being a really frequent visitor is the absolutely extravagant prices!!! They are insanely expensive with the portion sizes reducing even more now for eg: 400 bucks for 4 slices of brushetta! but then again maybe thats the crowd they are targeting... but only food wise 2 thumbs up!
