Trikaya is one of the most delightful Oriental restaurants in the city and certainly the best in the Pashan, Baner area. Before you even start on the new menu, I would urge you to try something from their extensive bar menu. The Melon Midori Cocktail is a new addition to the menu and goes perfectly with the Asian starters. For starters, order a large selection of small plates - the Basa in Five Willow Sauce and the Fish Edamame in Citrus Ponzu are excellent choices. The cigar rolls of crispy filo pastry filled with duck or goat cheese and mushroom are outstanding. If you eat pork, do try the Pork Satay, Singapore style with a truly authentic peanut sauce. For the main course, the new Asian char grills served on a hot plate are beautifully seasoned - try the Sliced Lamb with Bean Sprouts and the Himalayan Trout. Try the Hainanese Chicken Rice with steamed chicken, chicken broth, traditional chilli and ginger sauce and rice cooked in stock - authentic look, feel and taste. The new sides include Chilli Corn Sticky Fried, Japanese Yakisoba Noodles, Malaysian Nasi Lemak and Singaporean Char Kway Teow, the flat wok-fried noodles you find most often in a Singaporean hawker market. If you have a sweet tooth, it is often difficult to find satisfaction in an Oriental restaurant. However, the Red Velvet Cake and the trio of Asian sweets - Date and Coconut Shau Mai, Lotus Seed Coffee Bun (yum yum), and glutinous Rice Bowls in Coconut Milk - are all to die for here.

For oriental food lovers no other place is as good as Trikaya restaurant and for me this is the best one can get for this much rate. Their flat noodles, Sliced Lamb, Hainanese Chicken Rice are their some of the signature dishes. The service is fast and the staff is well aware of the menu and taste of every dish so that diners get to eat what they want to eat.

Trikaya has a brand new menu with a number of new dishes and the signature dishes are still there. As always I like to play it safe and go for dishes that i tried before or approved by some i trust.
Here i usually order for cigar rolls of crispy filo pastry filled with duck or goat cheese and mushroom which is lighter on tummy and great for taste buds. Also the pork dishes here are well cooked and tastes significantly different then other non veg dishes, try pork satay, Singapore style pork are just perfect for me. Trikaya is a good place in the city for oriental cuisine.
