Simple in decor and basic in functionality, Coconut Grove is tucked away off the main road just after Sasoon Hospital on the way to Kumbhar Wada. It specializes in Mangalorean food though some North Indian and Chinese are also available just for the sake of it. Prawn Chettinadu is delicious, made with absolutely fresh, medium-sized prawns in a mouth-watering, thick green masala. The Crab Sukka, small crabs in a light red masala, is tasty too. The Sukka variety is available in chicken, mutton, fish, veg and prawn as well. The Pomfret Curry with a thick red coconut gravy will remind you of eating at shacks in Goa. Coconut Grove goes about its business without any shoo-sha, serving consistently good food. The portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh and the prices very reasonable.

Mangolean food is the specialty of Coconut Grove restaurant which is traditionally set up and nicely decorated. For non vegetarians this place is perfect for eating some here authentic food. Mutton Sukka, Chettinadu Prawns and Pomfret Fry are not to be forgotten while ordering food at the Coconut Grove.

Its always a first choice for me and family. The food is good and service prompt. Try chettenadu prawns or Goan fish curry. However do not try vegi food here.
Favorite Dishes / Drinks: Crab soup and prawn chettenadu.
