Terttulia is a strange name which doesn't trip off the tongue too easily. It is apparently a Catalan word for a social gathering between friends, usually at a cafe and this is exactly what this cafe/restaurant/bar/tapas bar offers. The cafe is open-air and fenced off from the main road. The young enterprising Imrun Sethi with the help of Eefa Shroff has introduced a lovely hideaway. It feels more like a European cafe in Goa or Bali than in Koregaon Park. They still do a full breakfast… eggs done anyways, waffles, pancakes, etc., which I have yet to try. I started with a refreshing Orange & Basil Mojito and also tried the Watermelon Caipiroska and the Dirty Martini - all three were excellent. To the outstanding dishes first: the Pesto Mushrooms (button mushrooms grilled with a splash of Italian basil, garlic and olive oil sauce), Roasted Mushroom and Spinach Quiche and the Grilled Chicken (with an olive tapenade). The pizzas are thin-crust. I preferred the Vegetarian Creamy Spinach, Tossed Rucula and Scarmozzarella, which is definitely one of the best pizzas you'll find in this city. The Oven-Baked Prawns with Oregano and Lemon Zest, the runny Asparagus Risotto… and the Chargrilled Cilantro (coriander)-Rubbed Tiger Prawns are to die for. People come here only for the steak (fillet mignon) and the Red Wine Braised Lamb Ragout. Desserts are well worth leaving some space for. The Croissant Pudding - a posh version of the English traditional bread and butter pudding -, the gooey Chocolate Cake, Apple Crumble and the Blueberry Cheesecake… all hot favourites. They do have a decent wine list and a great selection of cocktails. There are plenty of really well-thought-out and deftly executed options for vegetarians. Specials change every Friday. Koregaon Park can pride itself on this restaurant - big league on moderate prices.

An open air arrangement can never go wrong and I always love such an arrangement and at Terttulia I get what I love the most, open air, boundless view of sky and the feeling of being free. No to mention this café also has some superbly tasty food in store to taste and enjoy. Rubbed Tiger Prawns, Red Wine Braised Lamb Ragout are tastiest preparations of Terttulia.

A friend recently took me to Terttulia and i am yet to decide what is it? A bar, restaurant, cafe, lounge or little bit of all of it.
Anyways, i loved the fact that you get good food with good cocktails like dirty martini. I tasted the grilled chicken and roasted mushroom that tasted really well. I am going to Terttulia very soon to find more irresistible food.
