A new entrant in the Italian restaurant brigade, Pesto Pesto is the maiden venture of young entrepreneur Kunal Mhaske due to open in January. It's a contemporary, all-day dining eatery serving scrumptious Italian cakes and coffee in the morning, Piadine and Ciabatta (Italian sandwiches and wraps) all day long, and a comprehensive, simple and straightforward Italian menu for lunch and dinner. The pizzas are wood-fired with unusual toppings like tuna, red chilli and capers and Parma ham with Arugula salad. Many of the pastas are made in-house. Do try the classic Spaghetti Bolognese, Carbonara and the Malfatti (spinach and ricotta dumplings with sage butter). A quirky, retro menu and some solid staples like the Antipasti Platters, Fritto Misto di Mare, risotto and lasagna rub shoulders with more innovative dishes like the warm Polenta with Wild Mushroom Ragout and Pesto Pesto's twist on Chicken Kiev (stuffed with creamy pesto instead of garlic butter). every second restaurant can serve Italian food in Pune these days, but very few are real. this one comes in that category. I usually come here when i crave for Italian food. Pestos are real good. creamy, italian, free calorie type of mouthwatering food. great service and ambience and even the crowd is quite nice, mostly students.

I just loved the appetizers here and they are also available in a large variety. They are available in veg and non veg. I also ordered Garlic Mushroom which was quite good and the service was ok for me. When I went to this place it was quite flooded with people so didn't enjoy much. But otherwise it is a good place go.

The place is perfect if you want to have Italian. Their pizzas and pastas are great without comparison. You will really feel great once you try this one out.
