The brightness at the Oriental restaurant Zen in Aurora Towers gives an impression of its being a coffee shop. Service is courteous and prompt. The Dim Sum Platter is very well presented with an assortment of Fried Spring Rolls and Steamed Dumplings. The stuffing of prawns and chicken is fresh, but the veg ones are ordinary - only cabbage and carrot. The Wasabi Chicken is chicken meatballs served individually in Chinese soup spoons, and drowned in a mixture of light soya, teriyaki, kikkoman and Mirin Wine. The Miso Soup is a valiant attempt at the Japanese fermented Soya Bean Soup, a trifle too concentrated, which makes it a bit salty. The Prawn Tempura is more like golden-fried prawns, delicious and very fresh, but not crispy enough. There are also Yaki Nori, Hunan Chicken, Satay Ayam, Nasi Goreng, Green Curry, Massaman Curry and more⦠Everything is relatively tasty but not extraordinary. There are better options for Chinese and Thai in the city for a special dinner out. However, Zen can be a good option if you are in the locality and fancy some Japanese specialities.

Zen is a great place, nice ambiance and excellent service. Waiters are gracious and courteous. Chefs cook amazing food with Dim Sum Platter to be the best. The Wasabi Chicken is delectable and amazing. Hunan Chicken, Satay Ayam and Massaman Curry are delicious too. Ambiance is soothing and calm. One can prefer the place to have food in a relaxed environment.
