Located on a crowded stretch of road in Wanawadi, China Grill is a safe place for fans of Chinese food. The restaurant has a nice, small courtyard, where you may wait to be seated. The interiors are well done and there are a few tables available on the outside next to a fountain. The food is delicious, wholesome and fine-tuned to the Indian palate. The service is good and well informed. The vegetables are crisp and not overcooked. The Tofu with Chinese Greens is quite authentic but the Corn Curd Mongolian (Rs. 200) is a little too dense. The Golden-Fried Prawn is scrumptious but the Chilli Chicken Dry is just about okay. The best starter probably is the Crispy Lamb Chilli (Rs. 275). The Prawns Basil Chilli does not have any distinctive Thai flavour. If you are in a group, the Chimney Soup, commonly known as Mongolian Steamboat, is good to order. It is served in a large tureen with piping-hot stock laden with veggies, rice noodles and chicken, prawn and fish. Chicken Broccoli or Lemon Chicken Hong Kong Style are good choices for the mains. For desserts, go for the Honey Noodles and Date Pancakes that go very well with Vanilla Ice Cream.
