Sana-di-ge in Tulu is the brass lamp lit on auspicious occasions in the coastal belt of Karnataka. The food at this restaurant - with a small airconditioned dining space and a larger alfresco area - is from that part of the state. You'll find a predominance of seafood on the menu, including Rawa Fry Kane (fish coated in semolina and fried crisp) and Teekha Prawn Fry. The range of curries also focuses on fish and shellfish. There are some options for vegetarians, but they are likely to feel short-changed. A welcome change in an area with many multi-cuisine options.

Shame that I have never been to Sana-di-Ge coastal speciality restaurant being a seafood aficionado !! A trip to this place makes me wonder why I ignored this place so far. In terms of freshness and quality of Fish there is absolutely no parallel at Bangalore. My parents who are more hard core fish eaters than even me, have voted this - the BEST in Bangalore who were earlier apprehensive when I said "lets go for a seafood journey today". This is the ultimate certificate coming from veterans. The Sol kadi they said is better than the one they had at Gajalee of Bombay. All the fish ordered were fresh as if just caught in the morning. : The ambiance was absolutely great with a large aquarium and old kitchen utensils displayed in the restaurant area. Although a little expensive compared to other seafood restaurants but the quality of food and the ambiance adequately compensate. I ordered - Sol Kadee; Silver Fish rava fry ; Kane Masala fry ; Squid Pepper Garlic fry ; Chicken sukka with neer dosas (so fluffy) ; Butter Garlic King Prawns and followed by Gud Bud Ice cream. A box of Vhodees (crackers - Konkani Mangalorean item) is given complimentary. Overall a great seafood experience and will remain on the top of the charts.

For me it is always a delightful experience to go to restaurants that are specialized in one specific cuisine and Sana-di-ge is one such place in the city. This restaurant serves Karnataki food and in fact for authentic Karnataki food in the city this is a reliable place. On the menu, the seafood takes the maximum space and Teekha Prawn Fry is a finger licking dish on the menu. I have dined here couple of times and really enjoyed the food of Sana-di-ge. This is a good place for family dining and friends get together.

I have been to Sana-di-ge many times. I like the ambiance of the restaurant. It is nicely and brightly lit-up with comfortable seating area. The food is great too. they serve delicious rawa fry kane, which is a fish coated in semolina and fried crisp. I love fish and so this place is one of my favorite restaurants in Bangalore. Teekha Prawn Fry is another option that I never miss at this place. Service is superb. The aroma of food enhances the hunger and staffs don’t let you wait for long. They serve food nicely and ASAP. They are polite and friendly as well. Nice place to have good fish.
