Thalappakatti is like an oasis in the desert for those who want good food at reasonable prices. Located near one of the city’s most famous landmarks, it captures the essence of South Tamil Nadu in every sense: décor, flavour and service. Their biryani has been an instant crowd puller from the time it has opened. The restaurant’s other specials are Thalai Curry and Kodal Curry. They also have a wide variety of chicken preparations, including the Vatlakunda Chicken and Thalappakatti Fried Chicken, which rate among the best. The Dindugal Thalappakatti Biryani is truely delicious. The Brain Fry, Mutton Chukaa and the Aatakal Soup are worth trying. The South Indian preparations worth trying are Keema Dosa and Wheat Dosa which are mouth-watering. Beverages served are limited. Head to the desserts section only if you have space for it as ice creams are all what they have.

To experience nice food in equally nice ambience and décor and at a rate fairly reasonable Thalappakatti restaurant is one of the options one can access. The dining area of this restaurant is quite big and the staff service is pretty friendly and satisfactory. In the menu, their Biryani is a super hit among the regular visitors. In fact, their Thalai Curry, Mutton Chukka and Keema Dosa are dishes that definitely deserve special mention. Thalappakatti also has a nice desserts collection to end a great dinner.
