It is more of nostalgia and less of respect that takes you to the vintage restaurant Fujiya. The once well-known soups such as Mizutaki and Mandarin Chow are rather old-fashioned today. Most dishes, especially Fish Shanghai and Sichuan Chicken, have clear, discernible flavours. Yet Fujiya offers good value for money. The service is prompt and friendly. During peak hours, there is usually a scramble for its 65 seats. It also offers Thai. Why not check out its Prawn Salt n Pepper and Thai Green and Red Curry? The crowd is well-bred and the music mostly Western.
