The Indian restaurant of The Lalit is a very skilfully crafted restaurant that has something to offer the western guests and the locals that make a bee-line here. The most brilliant concept is that of bread and wine: with a wine library and an open iron tandoori section where you can see four types of breads made in front of your eyes. Iron tandoors require a high degree of skill to operate and any bread that has ghee in it has to be made in one. You can order a bread basket with dips: Pheni Paratha, Bakarkhani, Gilafi Kulcha and Besan ki Roti. For the rest, do order the Mushroom Galouti that is spiced exactly like its meaty counterpart, the Chapli Kebab and the Haleem that is served with the full panoply of accompaniments, from mint leaves to chopped ginger. Great for a celebratory night out.

The vegetarian Seekh Kebab was good so was the Gucci kebab. The Kadhai Paneer however was not that great. Aam Panna is good. I like the ambience. Overall experience was good. The Chef came and asked for the review. I would say do go for the Dal its yummmmmmm

I feel these people are novice and still trying to run a 5 star hotel/restaurant business. The restaurant has above average food but the service is TERRIBLE. U have to ask for the order atleast 5 times and wait for an hour. You have to ask for the manager and it is then they try pay attention to you. These kind of so called five star hotels lacks that five star class completely!! Visit for the food not for the service and hospitality.
