Going by the relaxed, quirky and casual atmosphere with truly authentic yet affordable food and drinks, Mamagoto believes in making Asian food fun to eat. The food is mainly of Asian origin imbibing influence from Chinese, Thai and Japanese cuisine. The fact that no MSG is added in any of their recipes is quite reassuring. Their Coal fired Robata Grill dishes are finger licking delicious and very high in demand . The old favourites are Traditional crispy lamb with spring onion and bell peppers. Thai Chicken & water chestnut salad is chefs recommendation would not fail to please, Java grilled fish in red hot sambal salsa is chilli hot and bursting with flavours and largely a dieter’s delight, Street vendor’s Panang curry bowl is a sumptuous quick meal in a bowl perfect for those who are running tight on schedule, are some of the Mama’s signature picks. They dole out one of the best Khao Sueys in the city. Overall the food is pretty much consistent in all their outlets. Banoffee pie is surely a sweet and happy ending to the whole Pan Asian affaire.

MamaDrinkUp was a fun filled event at the terrace of Mamagoto in Khan Market. We at the Delhi Food Club have always loved Mamagoto for its delicious Thai Green Curry, Honey Chicken and Crispy Chilly Potatoes but now with the introduction of interesting cocktails on their menu they have found yet another way to wow us. A very pleasant evening with great drinks and the company of some really good friends, - what can be better than that? The Mamagoto crew has certainly managed to create innovative concoctions that are not available elsewhere. Their in house spirit infusion include kaffir lime leaf infused in silver tequila, thyme infused with dry gin and so on.The resultant cocktails are crisper, finer and there isn't any taste of factory made syrups and other artificial flavours. Nothing is too sweet or too sour, all balanced for the discerning palate. The restaurants mixologists have balanced herb with fruit to master some stellar tastes with a rich mouth feel and unique after taste. Apart from this they have flavoured Margaritas, Daiquiris, and Mojitos. The Mojitos were our favourite and I would certainly recommend them to you!

Mama Drink Up - Cocktail Tasting At Mamagoto The Mamagoto Team invited Team Shivangi Reviews to come on down and sample their new and innovative Cocktail list which was specially prepared for us by their newly built cocktail team.As part of the launch night of the MamaDrinkUp they offered interesting starters and refreshing cocktails.Mocktails (non alcoholic) will also be available on the menu, so teens and people who have to drive a long way back home can enjoy the lovely terrace at Mamagoto, Khan market with an interesting beverage in their hand; they have something for everyone. The mixologists created drinks with kaffir lime leaves infused in silver tequila, thyme infused in dry gin and fresh vanilla pods as well as juniper berries soaked in vodka. They also have a new menu of shots and pitchers that include different sangria recipes as well as old school flavoured Margaritas, Daiquiris, and Mojitos.Mamagoto would be an ideal place to celebrate a birthday, a boy's night out or simply a girly night.Mamagoto has always been my preferred place to dine and the restaurant management teamed up with their amazing kitchen team to bring us mouth-watering starters and other nibbles with all kinds of drinks. It was a very pleasant evening and the staff was very hospitable. Asian eating has always been a lot of fun at Mamagoto but with the introduction of these new beverages, Mamagoto has given a whole new meaning to their tag line: to play with food!

Lodged inside one of New Delhis finest malls - Select CityWalk, MAMAGOTO was not shown to its best advantage on a cold Sunday night. People dont really go out on Sunday nights that much, because they are all so busy preparing for work on Monday. The considerable space would make it hard to furnish appropriately without loads of cash; theyve opted instead for a very oriental style look, and some paintings that would keep me puzzled all throughout my meal. The menu, has functional English names for everything, & also has interesting cartoons & pictures representing several things, I was intrigued. When the food arrived it was delicious. The weird dish that you only ordered out of a sense of duty was delicious. The dish that my friend ordered, even though it looked just like my main, was delicious. The Thai Green Curry tasted like a super-recipe, and when i tasked their Burnt Garlic Stir Fried Veg it was like eating garlic for the first time. It reminded me fleetingly of China Club, that groundbreaking Chinese restaurant that is tucked away in Cyber City, Gurgaon (it was groundbreaking because Mandarin Oriental had been there for ages - China Club thought it knew it all about Chinese food, but as it turned out it did not know MAMAGOTO). Having had this memory triggered, I was worried that maybe I just loved this regional flavour a little too much; maybe I was like an Extra Terrestrial Being going from one KFCs to another, yelling, I adore this place, I really do!!

Mamagoto happens to be one of those places, in the same lane as Route 04, Boombox Cafe, etc. - with their windows & display sign facing the parking. Well I finally got a chance to try the place out. There's a dish called Shrimps covered in Bacon Blankets - now I like shrimps, I like Bacon, and I generally enjoy Asian preparations. Plus it came highly recommended from my friend who was with me - he's a regular at Mamagoto. His first comment when the dish arrives finally - That bacon covering is much smaller than I remember.
