The ambience at T.G.I. Friday's is in the fun mould. The choice of food ranges from the expensive to the affordable. With the best cocktails (certainly the best Margarita) in town, TGIF is worth visiting even though the food isn't the ultimate in gourmet cuisine. The cuisine is predominantly Tex-Mex. Do try the Rack of Spare Ribs, Chicken Chimichangas, Loaded Potato Skins, Fried Mozzarella, Half Roasted Chicken, Friday's Original Wings, Margarita Chicken Fajitas, Tortilla Crusted Fish and Friday's Fajitas. Youngsters seem to love this place.

The cliche - in here it's always Friday - is indeed true at this high-energy, pan-demographic bar with giant cocktails and even bigger platters of fried goodness. An all-out Yankee experience with retro and rock music, and memorabilia studded interiors that have remained the same through the years, happy hours really are happy here. Their Ultimates like the LIIT and Lynchburg Lemonade, Margaritas like the Raw Mango and the whiskey based Tennessee Tea define weekends in a glass and have remained consistent. For big drinkers, their Pitchers and Tall Boys are unbeatable. Eats like Dynabites, Spare Ribs and Friday Nachos are ordered by every other table, but the Triple Chicken Sampler packed full of Spicy Chicken Wings, Sesame Jack Chicken Strips in Jack Daniel's Sauce and Parmesan Crusted Quesadillas are great company on a long spirited night. Hic, hic, hurray!

HAPPY HOURS: 5.00 PM to 8.30 PM.

Threesixtyone is an all day dining restaurant in the posh Oberoi Hotel in Gurgaon. I really love the feel of the hotel, I like it much better than the hotel next door, Trident. Threesixtyone Degrees is really huge, it's got high ceilings and the decor is simple but chic. What I like about this place the most is that it has a lot of open kitchens and I believe very strongly that only very confident chefs have open kitchens. When I ordered the Chongqing lazi ji, I knew why the chefs at Threesixtyone are so confident - amazing! The Dim sums at Threesixtyone are an absolute must try - steaming, fresh and prepared with the nicest ingredients you can imagine, it does not get better than this. This restaurant serves Chinese, Japanese, Italian and North Indian cuisines and even though I am always apprehensive of multi-cuisine restaurants this one does not disappoint because it has separate chefs for every cuisine. It is really well organised. I was very impressed the first time I was at Threesixtyone. Especially with its service - it was polite and swift (really important for me because I am always hungry!)I must take a moment to mention the utterly delectable braised Turkish lamb with yogurt, onions and tomatoes. It was extremely flavoursome and was served with couscous, which was very beautifully prepared. This cost something like Rs. 1500/- but it was totally worth every penny because the portion size was quite good and the dish was fantastic. It filled me up completely and I was starving when I reached the restaurant. The prices are quite steep but if you are at Threesixtyone you must try the Chefs recommendations. You can celebrate at Threesixtyone on a special occasion and enjoy all the wonderful dishes its menu has to offer. I can say with some confidence that you will not regret your decision to try Threesixtyone.

I visited TGI Fridays last week with my wife (who is a vegetarian) and a friend. The friend and I were considering ordering chicken burgers, when the server at our table suggested the burgers prepared in the house special - Jack Daniels sauce. We thought wed give it a shot and both of us ended up ordering these burgers. However, when the food arrived, we realized that the sauce was sweet-ish (much more than barbecue sauce is). Overall, the food was nice and prepared well, and the service was prompt and courteous. Therefore, we didnt complain and ate our food
