Single-handedly Dakshin has forced the quality of South Indian restaurants in the NCR upwards. We have come a long way indeed from the era of one-size-fits-all idli-dosa joints. The food at Dakshin is a melange of the cuisines of all four Southern States, with Tamil Nadu being represented the best and Kerala the least. Thankfully there are no cliches on the menu. Even a niche cuisine from Tamil Nadu, Mudaliar food, is available here: do not miss Kathirikai Chops. The Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh sections too are full of surprises. Just the freebies themselves are a treat: four kinds of podis, papads, and fried gundu chillies. This is one restaurant that sweats the small stuff. Don't miss Dal Thove that has spinach and coconut lentils, Kori Sukka, the Bunt classic, Raal Poruma Kootu, and Gongura Mamsam from coastal Andhra Pradesh, made with roselle leaves flown in regularly from coastal Andhra Pradesh!

Whenever i crave for south indian cuisine i always come to Dakshin. Must Try are the appams and Kozhi Melagu. Thali is also a good option - although is too much for one person to finish. A must visit for all south indian cuisine lovers.

The best place for the people who are crazy about this cuisine, they are superb man! Idli?s are so soft and dosa?s are so crispy, i enjoy every bite of the food here. I crave to go here and where south indian food is concerned i m just too loyal to DAKSHI

Good food goes well with the ambience. Chicken chettinad is worth giving a try, although the restaurant does not serve idli dosa, but the authentic south indian taste in the dishes makes up for them.
