Tucked away in the Sunder Nagar Market, Baci is a sheer gem of a place. Underplayed yet classy as the rest of the market, it attracts plenty of expats. The best-sellers on their menu include home-made pasta with Rocket Walnut Sauce and a platter of inspired mixed antipasti. There's the rarely seen Vitello Tonnato alla Milanese, a delicious Italian surf and turf consisting of veal and tuna, mascarpone and caper sauce, and a Goat Cheese Souffle on its menu. Baci is an authentic Italian eatery, a veritable oasis in the city, apart from being located in a genteel area. Minus any hype, it is surprisingly easy on the pocket for a restaurant of this class. Visit if you like Italian food the way it is supposed to be cooked. The ground floor is an Italian-style cafe with pastries and desserts on display.

Baci is a nice Italian food restaurant in this area and its modest interior and serving surely makes this restaurant popular among the regulars. Their pastas are hot selling item of this restaurant and I am sure if you have visited this place you will agree with me. This restaurant has many authentic Italian dishes and the classy display of desserts is surely tempting at Baci.

Baci is one of my many favourite Italian restaurants. It has a New York style urban chic feel, with a bar on the ground level and a casual dinning restaurant at the upper level. It has excellent food, carefully prepared with mostly imported ingredients. The menu is extensive though a bit dated.
My family were fans of Amici in Khan Market, though the middle lane in Khan market is rather uninviting and we often thought what it would like to have Amici in a better location. When we discovered Baci, it's sister restaurant in Sunder Nagar market, we were quite thrilled.
Even today we go there quite often; last time was two days ago. For appetisers, we ordered two salads. The first was our usual vegetarian Caesar salad. I thought it was the best Caesar salad I had ever had. The greens were fresh and crunchy, there was ample dressing and it seemed right out of a farmers market. The Caprese salad (tomato and mozzarella salad) was also pretty good, with truly fresh mozzarella and ripe tomatoes.
For the main course, we ordered several dishes, out of which my favourite was the Quattro Formaggi pizza(four cheese pizza). My father loved the standard spaghetti with chunky tomato sauce. Other dishes we liked there include the mushroom risotto and asparagus ravioli. Their drinks stood out too. My Virgin Mojito was extraordinary and my Mom says her Chardonnay was also excellent. We didn't order desert as a result of excessive main course, though in the past I remember the deserts were very good.
For those who are purists, looking for a good meal in a decent setting and with efficient staff, this is perfect place.
