This sprawling eatery spread over three sections airconditioned, non-airconditioned and alfresco is popular with tourists and remains always packed. Sher-e-Punjab conjures up images of robust Punjabi food and this one in the heart of Panaji on the busy 18th June Road is no exception. It's a good place to try the famous Punjabi Sarson da Saag, the rich green lentil dish. Also recommended are the Chicken Tandoori, Chicken Peshawari, Butter Chicken, Handi Chicken, Chicken Kebabs and Fish Fry Amritsari. They offer some biryanis made of mutton or chicken and some well-spiced Chicken Baghdadi and Roast Fry Chicken. North Indian apart, they offer a Goa-inspired Caju Curry made with cashew nuts. They also do the usual noodles, snacks and soups and some Indian desserts like Rabdi. The bar menu is pretty long while the non-alcoholic beverage list includes espresso, cappuccino, Italian Affogato, coffee with ice cream and ice-cream with brandy, among others.

The food was execellent and service was ok. A bit expensive but recommendable. The drinks were very expensive.
