Here’s what the fairly new 8,000sq ft sprawling Canvas is best for… partying more than serious eating. On the top floor of the Palladium, it’s a dizzyingly lit twin-levelled space. The semi-circle-shaped restaurant looks down at its lounge/bar/alfresco/smoking & cigar room and surreal projection screens. There is live music too, three bars and all through, there is lush red velvet, deep black tones and dancing, flickering screens and lighting. The multi-cuisine meandering menu, served on the noisy restaurant level, plonked on top of a noisier lounge, is a downside worth pointing out. And it is worth pointing out because Canvas also has virtues and because there’s hope. If it’s a relaxed night out fuelled with well-made cocktails and alcohol that you’re looking for, then head to this opulent lounge complete with plush red velvet curtains, cushy couches and dancing red strobe lights. The bartenders shake, build and stir many a good fruity cocktail Pineapple-Pepper, Lemongrass-Litchi, Strawberry-Mint and Watermelon-Rosemary martinis to name a few. Canvas is right on top of my favourite Comedy Club (same owners) and after laughing your guts out, it’s great to come for a smoke and drink.

Had an awesome at Canvas, last Saturday night, with friends. For the first time, I tasted delicious fruity cocktail Strawberry-Mint. The dance floor was all rocking at the high. Canvas is just too good to be. We had rocking time on the dance floor and at the bars. The starters at Canvas is amazing too. I loved the place.
