Gone are the days of the Italian-Sicilian menu... but the name still remains the same. Contemporary European fare with Chef Paul Kinny's masterly touches at the InterContinental Marine Drive's Italian restaurant that also doubles up as a coffee shop for hotel guests. The minimalist decor allows patrons to soak in the stunning view of Marine Drive and the Arabian Sea. Chef Kinny combines textures and flavours with deft certainty and one bite of the Brie 'n' Cumin Souffle, Spinach and Rucola Salad with Orange Segments, Stone-grilled Pomfret with Creole Herbs or Chilli Cilantro Grilled Chicken, makes that supremely evident. Vegetarians have plenty to choose from - Mezze Platter and Herbed Potato Rosti and Basil 'n' Potato Gnocchi recommended. For non-vegetarians, the new grilled Vietnamese Basa with young garlic is quite popular. Pot Pizza Pie and thin-crust pizza (Wholewheat and Margherita) make the rounds at many tables. Warm Apple Crumble, Baked Philly Cheesecake, Hazelnut Chocolate Roulade and Creme Brulee are some of the delicious signature desserts. But it's the Hot Chocolate Fondant that takes the cake. A beautiful collection of New World wine enhances the existing Italian wine list. Corleone is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. On Sundays, they offer a brunch (Rs. 1,650 without and Rs. 1,950 with alcohol; Rs. 1,050 for children between 6-12 years and under 6 years are free) with great Mimosas and Martinis which includes live sushi and pasta counters in addition to delicious authentic antipasti, salads and unlimited servings of wood-fired pizza served family-style. Spread from noon to five in the evenings, it's one of the longest and most leisurely brunches in the city.

Corleone is located in the Intercontinental Marine Drive. If you can get a table by the window, it offers a good view of the Arabian sea as well as the traffic passing by on Marine Drive. For the main course we ordered Chilli Cilantro Grilled Chicken and thin crust pizzas. Loved the fresh basil on the pizza. The main course was more than enough for two of us.

There is nothing like Corleone's in all of Bombay. This place is awesome. The best food I have ever had.
